Twin Commander Pilot and President to Attend SBD Fest

Twin Commander President Matt Isley and Wayne Pliss, a long-time Renaissance Commander pilot for the San Bernardino, California Sheriff’s Department will attend SBD Fest October 17, 2015 with proceeds benefitting the Heros’ Wings Foundation.

The Heroes’ Wings Foundation provides air transportation to those in need. The organization’s mission is to support veterans, first responders and medical needs patients and their families when they need to travel for specialized treatment or just trying to visit loved ones in other states.

The event offers a unique opportunity for the San Bernardino Airport, formerly a US Air Force Base, to connect with surrounding communities and provide a fun event for families of the region. It also allows Pliss to talk to pilots who would be interested in offering their air transportation services.

“My dream is for a Twin Commander owner who has decided to hang up his wings and would love to see his airplane do some good by donating the aircraft to the Heroes’ Wing Foundation,” Pliss says, adding, “I believe in Twin Commanders.”

Isley, who is on the advisory board of Heroes’ Wings Foundation, will be at SBD Fest alongside Pliss in sun glasses and for support. “And I believe in Heroes’,” he adds.

SDB Fest features aerial acts, static aircraft displays, a classic car show, beer gardens, vendors and live entertainment. The Benefit Concert for Heros’ showcases country headlining acts, Cassadee Pope and Craig Campbell. For more information and ticket prices, go to http://sbdfest.com/index.html.
