NEWS David Allison Named Twin Commander Tech Rep

Longtime mechanic, safety officer, engineer and manager David Allison has been hired as Twin Commander Aircraft’s tech rep. In the role he will serve as a factory resource for customers and Twin Commander Factory Authorized Service Centers. The factory tech rep uses design drawings, manuals, and other resources to help owners and technicians solve complex maintenance challenges, gather service reports from the field, and work with other factory staff to develop new parts and Custom Kits.

Allison comes to Twin Commander Aircraft most recently from United Airlines regional carrier GoJet Airlines, where he developed and managed the Greensboro, North Carolina base. His previous experience includes everything from replacing cockpit doors and bulkheads after 9/11 to supporting customers at Crane Aerospace, makers of first and business class airline seating. He is also an FAA FAST team representative and gives IA renewal classes throughout North Carolina.

Although he loves hands-on work, Allison said he is excited for this next chapter supporting such an iconic brand. Having already served for a few months in a temporary role, he has advised owners on everything from simple tire pressure specs to complex ultimate failure limits of obscure pressurization parts.
