In my short time at the helm, I have had the pleasure of speaking with many Commander owners. Some folks call because they want to know about the latest available upgrade for their aircraft, while some folks call simply to tell me what a great job their factory-authorized service centers are doing. I really enjoy communicating with our customers and talking with them about their Commander experiences.

The next time I write to you it will be from our new home in North Carolina. We have completed the first two stages of our move from Arlington, Washington, and are rapidly approaching the home stretch. The FAA will be conducting an audit of our Creedmoor, North Carolina, facility next month, and with any luck we will begin the final stage of moving our parts inventory to North Carolina at the beginning of November.

First let me say that I have enjoyed my time here in Washington State. The people are wonderful and the weather, despite what you may hear, is actually quite pleasant (though there always seems to be a dark cloud over Everett). Second, I want all to know how much we value our supplier relationships. We have many outstanding vendors here in the Washington area, and we plan on maintaining and growing those relationships even as we head east. Our suppliers have been, and continue to be, a major part of our success and deserve a lot of the credit for the quality and performance of the parts that keep Commanders flying at the top of their class.

I want to make it clear that our goal is “Zero Service Interruptions” during the move to North Carolina. In order to accomplish this goal, I am asking Commander owners to contact their service centers in October and discuss any planned maintenance or other work that may be required during November. This will help us manage distribution of parts so that no one experiences a delay in receiving a needed part while the move is underway.

We plan to move our product inventory from Arlington to Creedmoor in two stages to maintain continued availability of parts throughout the entire process. Of course, our technical support will be available uninterrupted as well.

Please contact your factory-authorized service center and review your upcoming service needs, especially for the month of November.

We have taken great pains to ensure that our move to North Carolina will enable us to continue delivering the same quality of service and parts that you have come to expect for your Commander. We have spent many months training new staff to ensure a smooth transition. In fact, several key members of our Arlington staff are relocating with us to our new home in Creedmoor, and a few have already done so.

We will update Twin Commander’s website (www.twincommander.com) with our new location and contact information when the move is complete and we are fully operational in Creedmoor.

Here’s to safe travels. And, please, keep the phone calls coming. Let us know how we’re doing.
